Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters, high-level golf in Sotogrande
From 17 to 20 October, the Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande will host an unmissable event for golf lovers: the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters. It will be the tenth edition of the penultimate tournament of the DP World Tour’s “Back 9”, decisive for players looking to secure a place in the circuit’s Play-Offs.
Among others, the Rolex Series tournament winnersVíctor Pérez, Thorbjørn Olesen and Rafa Cabrera Bello have confirmed their attendance, as has the winner of the PGA Tour, Matt Wallace. All four agree on highlighting this event’s magnificent atmosphere and the great support that they have received from the public that attends each day.
As for the Spanish representation, in addition to the Canary Islander Cabrera Bello, Adri Arnaus, Jorge Campillo, Nacho Elvira and Pablo Larrazábal will compete.
The former claimed his first DP World Tour title on home soil at the Catalonia Championship. Extremadura native Jorge Campillo has three European Tour victories to his name: the 2019 Trophée Hassan II, the 2020 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and the 2023 Magical Kenya Open. Nacho Elvira made his DP World Tour debut at the Cazoo Open supported by Gareth Bale in 2021. And Larrazábal, winner of nine DP World Tour titles, is coming into the season having started strongly, finishing in the top five at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
The Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters will once again be held at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, after its triumphant debut at this venue last year. Opened in 1964, this was Trent Jones’ first course in Europe and embodies his entire design philosophy, which consisted of creating courses that were perfectly integrated into the natural environment, that were a great challenge for the best players, but that were accessible and fun for everyone.
This is one of the year’s highlights, bringing together all the attractions: a stellar roster, an exceptional venue and the tournament’s location in the Back 9 of the calendar, the decisive phase of the Race to Dubai. It is, without a doubt, a perfect spectacle for all audiences.
